October 2011 (from SourceHoops.com) -Rookie Sensation (Ocala) -Justin Roberts – 2016 5’6 PG – Gainesville The Rock School: Roberts’ first game of the day was great but when the competition stepped up in talent in the second he wasn’t as effective.  Still, there is a lot to like about this young guard.  Roberts plays the game the right way, has a high basketball IQ, has a solid command of the basketball, and looks to get others involved. He is a solid passer in transition as well as when on the move in the half-court.  Roberts is also a willing post passer and not only understands the concept of “to make a pass, fake a pass” but puts it into practice.  He knocked down a couple of jumpers from the 16-18 feet range but when he moved farther out the shot wasn’t as reliable.  As he gets older and stronger those long distance jumper will find their mark.  The next stage in his development will be in getting quicker and developing a floater in the lane to score over shot blockers in the lane.  Coach Haley’s Notes: Small guard with good perimeter shooting skills…good quickness in transition…looks to pass off penetration.
